Bryan Baker

First Team 01/02

Tough tackling defender who would be welcomed back anytime. Restricted appearances, due to having 346 kids. Not afraid to put the boot in (mainly through lack of pace) – worth bringing back just to see him in a 50-50 with Wayne.

Legend Rating: A respectful nod

Colin Carr

First Team 01/02

Scored nearly 30 goals in 21 games in our Championship season 01-02. Lightening quick with great dribbling skills. Big factor in our 1st season’s success. Now plays for OU Res and even at 31 Years Old is quicker than we were at 17.

Legend Rating: Fondly Remembered

Craig Viera

First Team 01/02

Despite only playing 3 games for the Club still managed to get sent off in that time (must be something about that surname), and then injured. Talks a great game, in fact he should be the England keeper by now.

Legend Rating: Who are ya?

Dave Neal

First Team 01/02

Mate of Colin’s. Massive injury-prone keeper  . Was dropped for the decider against C’thorpe and as a result set up Sapphire Diamonds who wanted to be in the South Mids but couldn't get out of N. Bucks Div 1 and folded after 2 seasons..Now plays in goal for Stanton Manor on Sundays......no, hang on that's someone else isn't it

Legend Rating: Who are Ya?

Gary Crew "Coppell"

First Team 01/02

Fellow founder of the Trees with Gravsey. 3 game stint. Quit after 3 games after couldn't agree on Team Formation. He didn't rate Wigsey. The same Wigsey who holds the Appearance Record for the Club (probably).

Legend Rating: A respectful Nod (if only for helping to start the Trees)

James Herbert

First Team 01/02

Cousin of Bryan Baker. Only played 30 minutes, awful.

Legend Rating: Not a Fans Favourite

Kevin Clark "Jock"

First Team 01/02

Quality bloke, he left with Craig & Coppell.

Legend Rating: Who are Ya?

Lee Woolridge

First Team 01/02

Done a decent job for us in his short time with the Trees. Tall centre half that did'nt want to get dirty or head the ball. Retired after niggling injuries, and being substituted for Franny at Half time! Went on to manage AFC Rangers.

Legend Rating: Who are Ya?

Martin Baker (Pavel)

    First Team / Ressies 01/02 – 02/03

Hungarian refugee lookalike who appeared in goal for 1st team in our First Season and done ok but Pavel disappeared after Aaron’s management disaster.  Tall keeper, who also couldn’t kick the ball. Smoked loads and never spoke.

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

Mark Beale

First Team 02/03

Mate of Newsham's. Only played 30 minutes, even worse than James Herbert.

Legend Rating: Not a Fans Favourite

Nathan Beaver

First Team 01/02

Massive centre half, was more like a Care Bear than a Bully. 4 game career with Trees. Nice bloke though. Nige’s favourite ever Trees flop for some reason. Should have stuck around longer as we could have thought up loads of great nicknames with a surname like that, "Harry" for example, ......think about it

Legend Rating: Not a Fans Favourite

Paul Wormersley

First Team 01/02 - 02/03

Only ever kicked the ball with his outside of his right foot. Always looked shit hot in training but didn’t cut the mustard in matches, but he did introduce Shandy to the Trees. Left shortly after smashing the ball in Gravesy’s face in training.Moved onto Roade Reserves.

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

Richard Fletcher

First Team 01/02

Another Keeper who couldn’t kick the ball. Great shot stopper. Made some big saves in our Championship battle against Castlethorpe in the last game of the season 01-02. Was everyone’s favourite keeper of 01-02. Still watches the Cobblers (no – it’s true).

Legend Rating: Fondly Remembered

Rob Sutton

First Team 01/02

Quality winger who didn’t believe in defending. Went from crowd favourite scoring the goal that won us the League to Judas from hell, with his move to Castlethorpe, ironically the team he got the goal against. Dived all over the place against us and scored the winner in a crunch match against the Trees as he was a major factor is us missing out on the Double. Scored 20 goals from midfield, in just 20 games in his time with the Trees.

Legend Rating: Judas

Simon Hurst

First Team 01/02

Another mate of Colin’s chipped in with 5 useful goals in the run in for 01-02. Joined Sapphire Diamonds the following season.

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

Shaun Carr

First Team 02/03

Quality forward, nearest to a pro Trees will surely ever get. Was released by Norwich City & Peterborough Utd. Shame, only played 2 games for us. Now plays for OU Res(!!) with brother Colin.

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

Tommy Coulthard

First Team 01/02

Came in and done a great job for our title run in for 01-02. Defender that didn’t want to mark just called for everyone else to mark “tighter”. Now Manager of OU Res

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

Brett Gower-Adams

Reserves 02/03 - 03/04

Officially the slowest player to have played for BTFC. Never his fault when the Ressies leaked goals. Good for the cause as he would have a beer before & after the games. Got on well with Woody. Good lad despite having a double-barrelled surname.

Legend Rating: Fondly Remembered

Aaron Jenkins "Tucker"

First Team / Reserves 01/02 - 03/04

Was kind of part of the 01-02 Champ squad. Brief stint as Ressy mgr, ended within 4 games. Left to manage the mighty Lavendon Reserves & touting for our players, famously said “the problem with those Trees players, they always want to win”.

Legend Rating: A Mixed Reception

Colin Thompson "Tommo"

Reserves 02/03 - 03/04

Never spoke a word, just grunted. Ballys mate. One of the Legendary players that came through the Ranks - 'Class of 2002'.

Legend Rating: Who are Ya?

Chris Flynn

Reserves / Sunday Team 02/03 - 03/04

Found his niche on a Sunday morning, booting the ball or player as hard & as far as possible. Also played a number of games with the Ressies. Member of the County Cup winning squad, doubled up as mini bus driver/sensible one.

Legend Rating: Fondly Remembered

Carl Lucas

First Team / Reserves 01/02 - 04/05

Decent player & bloke who was with us from the start and appeared for the Ressies when they were a bit crap Also made a handful of appearances for the Sunday Team in the Double Season but broke his leg early on in the Season whilst playing for the Ressies.

Decent player & bloke, another the Ressies let slip through their fingers. Plays for AFC Scot on Sundays.

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

Jamie Wood "Woody"

First Team / Reserves / Sunday Team 01/02 - 04/05

Club & Pub favourite. Was First Team / Reserve / Sunday striker with an unorthadox style, broke Pub Windows with shots and Keepers legs (caused 2 to be stretchered off in one game once) but always had a good goal tally. Also Woody done more than anybody to gain sponsorship from the Pub by drinking 12 pints without fail, sometimes before matches. No-one gets more wrecked than Woody. Retired after a serious injury. We also wheel him out for Stag Do’s though for the entertainment value. Just phone the 3trees if you need him. Can occasionally be seen on the sidelines on a Sunday catching the First Half before the pub opens.

Legend Rating: Legend - In every sense of the word

Ben Moth "Mothman"

Reserves 03/04 - 04/05

Everyone loved Mothy, another rockstar dude. Left after a few too many appearances on the bench.

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

Chris Wersfold

Reserves 03/04 - 05/06

Great player who moaned a lot. Somehow failed to get a regular starting place with the Reserves, despite being a borderline First Teamer at times. Possessed a Riise like throw-in. We did take the piss nearly enough for his resemblance to Van Nistelrooy.

Legend Rating: Fondly Remembered

Bernie McConnell

Reserves 04/05

Legendary MK player who left after a bust up with Shrek. Too old to run but could ping a ball anywhere you wanted. Loves a beer BEEN SHREKED

Felix

First Team / Reserves 03/04

Not the Cat. Gentleman of football. Worby & co did love his bird. Wisely left before they got their mits on her. Has a Championship medal in his locker from his stint with the First Team in the first season. How he got those muscular thighs off the ground I’ll never know.

Legend Rating: Fondly Remembered

Shaun

Reserves 04/05

4ft  tall keeper. Total journeyman of MK football. I swear one Sunday Season he was in goal for every team we played against.  “Whose the daddy” still rings in my ears even though he left last season. Always took his kids to Training / Matches where they would run around behind the goal causing havoc. Always seemed to have one more kid every time we saw him.

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

Andrew Willis

Reserves / Sunday Team 03/04 - 04/05

Lightening quick (particularly for a White Man). Another to bag the County Cup & Championship with the Sunday side. Used to travel in from Miles away to play, then moved to the other side of Northampton which was a bit too far to travel for anyone.

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

James Kinns "Kinsey/ Killer"

First Team 04/05 - 05/06

Best Woughton player to join our ranks. Great lad too. Loved the shower (but the others he used to share his bodily fluids with didn’t) and waist high tackles if we were losing. Left with Kit to go to Mursley Utd

Legend Rating: Fondly Remembered

Christian Bamber "Kit"

First Team 04/05 - 05/06

Former Woughton Res Manager who led the team to the Double including a win over Trees in the Div Cup Final, played for the First Team where we would go around kicking people until they lost interest. Took over the helm after Gravsey’s regime the following season, but proved to be the 1st season the team didn’t better the previous season, finishing in the same position as the previous campaign, despite bringing in a large number of new players at the expense of established BTFC players. Club was badly affected when virtually all of the players he brought along left with him as he moved onto Mursley Utd after 1 season as Manager.

Legend Rating: Downgraded to "A Mixed Reception" for stealing our players

Oli Finch

First Team 04/05 - 05/06

The ‘White Vieira’. One of the Woughton boys who was increasingly found on the bench in his first season which led to him leaving for Woughton only to be persuaded back by Kit after a few beers and left again when sobered up..Highlights are asking to be subbed he was so bad after a night on the Viagra and nearly starting a riot at Deanshanger when 2 mins after coming on decided to stamp on someone. Great left back/midfielder with Newport experience. Big influence on Co.cup campaign with Sunday Team. Another who sank his share of bevo’s (and a few other people’s share).

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

Anthony Clarke

First Team 03/04

Top draw forward. Made a few cameo appearances with us in our 3rd Season, despite being 8 stone overweight and on 50 cans of beer a day still looked a class apart at times. Did tuck us up in the Div Final against Woughton, when shortly after coming on he inadvertently put through their forward to kill us off.

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

Lee Reeb

Sunday Team 03/04

Mate of Clarkeys, not quite in the same class…., made a few appearances with teh Sunday Team towards the end of the Double Season looking decidly uninterested in every match. “Never missed a pen”, until he took one for the Trees. Happened to be in a shoot out.

Legend Rating: Who are Ya?

Ian Taylor

First Team / Ressies 02/03

Worby’s gang never liked him. Left when less than a dozen appearances. Played for the First Team when we had our Team Photo, he is always the one that people point at and can never remember.

Legend Rating: Who are Ya?

Del

First Team 03/04

Reasonable player, energetic with shooting that went off the radar, left as he moved up North to Geordieland. Went from the Trees First Team bench to playing in the F.A. Cup 1st Round with Non-League Blyth Spartans, playing with former Premiership players. No, we couldn’t believe it either. Good lad though and recently spotted by Chunda in a Club in Newcastle still on the beers.

Legend Rating: Fondly Remembered

Mark Eaton

First Team 02/03

A Director at Gravseys firm. If he was as good as he said he was he would be playing in the Champions League, in the real world made the bench for the first team. Didn’t break in the team and Gravsey just kept his employment. Now Coaching at Aylesbury Utd and probably persuading them he should be in their starting line up.

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

Wayne Christy

First Team 04/05 - 05/06

One of the Woughton boys who came along, spent most of the 1st season with us injured, was a regular in the team the following season when Kit took over as he was Kit’s mate. Likeable lad if you ignore the fact he is a Copper. Followed Kit to Mursley Utd.

Legend Rating: A Respectful Nod

Paulo Marchant

First Team 02/03 - 03/04

Came along with Deano / Dave B in our 2nd season and immediately shattered all our Goalscoring Records. Prolific forward, bagged 45 goals in 52 games, unfortunatly 44 of them before Xmas and 1 afterwards as our season collapsed. Loads of injuries the following season but still bagged in the Cup Final as sub. Possessed real pace despite being 49 years old, hair was still 30 years out of date though.

Legend Rating:Fans Favourite

Adam Cox 'Coxy'

First Team 01/02 - 03/04

With us for our first 3 seasons. Always got annoyed when we described him as having a “Great Engine” as it made him sound like all he could do is run all day. Always won the £100 Scratchcard at the End of the Season and never got a round in with the winnings. Regular scorer and popular player. Great Engine.

Gravesy still tells us he is "coming back this season" - never does.

Craig Jenkins

Sunday Team 03/04 - 04/05

Played for the Sunday team for the Double Winning Season and done a quality job at the back, sweeping up if anything got past Flynny's leg breaking tackles. Went on to play for Hanslope and then MK Scot in the South Mids League.

Legend Rating: Fondly Remembered

Daryl Thompson

Sunday Team 03/04 - 04/05

Quality young striker, another from the Chunda scouting network and appeared for the Sunday Team in the Double Winning Season. Famous for texts at 2.30am on the Morning of the Game declaring he could'nt play.Scored after 15 seconds in his first start and went on to score a hat-trick. Just could'nt persuade him to get out of bed on a Sunday, but then again nor would you if your Bird looked like his.

Chris Ball

Reserves 02/03 - 03/04

Bally has earned legendary status with the Trees. although mostly for the wrong reasons. Was the Ressies self proclaimed 'playmaker' somehow managing to keep that status for 2 seasons before being axed. Briefly appeared for the Sunday Team, mostly with the flag in his hand. Still gets loads of stick despite leaving the Club ages ago, voted by many as the Worst Ever Player to play for the Trees with newcomers to the Club wondering who the hell he is and what did he do to deserve such status. Despite this most of the banter is tongue in cheek and he is actually a nice guy who has taken the banter well.

Legend Rating: Trees Legend (a different sort of Legend, but a Legend nonetheless)

Jamie Rollings

First Team 04/05

Came with high expectations. Undoubtedly could play, but we also soon found out he could also give Jon and our defence several heart attacks with some more than dodgy back passes and decision making at the back which would have ended Jon's career had he not left when he did. Was

made captain then axed a few games later after a poor start to the season where we needed 6 goals a game to even get a draw. Left after being made sub only to re-appear at Steeple Claydon ……eerrr as sub. Good lad though.

Legend Rating: Who are Ya?

Steve Burdett

Sunday Team 03/04

Mate of Chunda's who playd a couple of games to help out in times of a player shortage before everyone jumped on the Gravy train in search of County Cup glory.

Andy Buchan

Sunday Team 03/04

Teflon promised he could get loads of players of South Mids quality when we started a Sunday Team in 2003, we actually got one - an alcoholic who turned up for about 4 games. Looked really unorthadox but always seemed to score. A sound lad though who had some really great stories about why he missed the game on Sunday.

Justin Giddings

First Team 03/04 - 05/06 & Sunday Team 03/04

Top Man and a great forward, along with Steve Alen, Juzza is the player we have most regretted losing. A popular lad who liked his beers who could deliver on the pitch and on stage with his band. A key player with the First

Steve Allen

First Team 02/03 - 05/06

Aiden Worby

Reserves 03/04

When Babysitting his younger brother clashed with Trees Reserve Team Matches Ressies Manager Daniel Worby brought young Aiden along with him, killing 2 birds with 1 stone, giving him a place in the starting XI so he could keep an eye on him. As what happens with a change on Manager when Worby was replaced as Manager young Aiden was outted.

First Team / Sunday 01/02 - 06/07

A tear comes to my eye when writing this, one of the original Trees playes and undoubtedly technically one of the best, and I would go as far as to say the best we have had. He can come across as lazy, lethargic, whinges a lot and capable of giving more than he does but on his day is unstoppable. Can beat several players with ease, score from literally anywhere (he scored from the halfway line against on of the best Sunday Sides in MK

once) and his all round play is top notch. Highlights at BTFC include the equaliser in the Title Decider at Castlethorpe in our first season and winning 2 penalties in the County Cup Final as we finally found a ref that believed his dves.He also built this Website, Nige we salute you.

Stuart Homer

First / Sunday Team 03/04 - 06/07

Joined the Sunday Team halfway through the 03/04 season and immediatly made a huge impact scoring in the Quarter Final, Semi Final and 2 in the Final as well as finishing our Top Scorer in the League despite only playing half a season. Unsurprisingly tapped up by

the Saturday team where he carried on scoring and was Top Scorer every season thereafter. Bags of pace, and will guarentee you a hatful of goals each season. Top lad of fthe pitch as well as will always be there on a night out whether he is still with us or not. Now at Mursely United, but he will be back, trust me.

Legend Rating: Trees Legend

Adam 'Gus' Caesar

First / Reserves / Sunday 03/04 - 06/07

Came along in the 03/04 season and immediatly earned a place up front in the first team. Great technical player and scores from 40 yards as easy as people score from 6, dropped into the Reserves for a while when what little pace he did have disappeared, but Gus is a quality player as demonstarted by the fact that he now plays in the South Mids League. Partly responsible for Trees finest hour in the County Cup Final, although he could not play in the Final he deserved his medal as he got us there by scoring winners on 2 occasions in previous rounds.

Russell Cleave

Reserves / Sunday Team 05/06 - 06/07

If he was as good at Football as he was pumping iron he would have been a Trees legend, sadly he was not. Could run around a lot and budge people off the ball, but never seemed to pass.... ever. In fact acquired the nickname "Trojan" (thou shall not pass). Left when he wasn;t getting 90 mins every week for the Sunday team. Great on a night out though as he would never drink and be good for a lift up to the Ocean. Also wore funny beads a lot which I could never quite understand.

Legend Rating: Fondly Remembered

Jonny Hawes

Reserves / First Team / Sunday Team 03/04 - 06/07

A likeable lad and a more than useful defender, a rare example of a centre back with real pace and who doesn't look a complete donkey on the ball. Started in the Reserves, but soon made his way to the 1st team where he proceeded to get injured every other game. Even had a dugout fall on him which would have been funny had it not been so serious..... actually come to think of it yeah it was still a little bit funny. Was also the Groundsman at Woughton when we played there so ensured we had the best pitch in MK (with stripes on it)

Legend Rating: Fondly Remembered

Anyone care to write a few comments about Stuart?

Dave Bartlett

First Team / Sunday Team 02/03 - 06/07

Long standing Trees Defender who played until he was too slow and fat to run.....actually he was that way when he joined in 2002 wasn't he? Yes he was a big unit, but what a player - a rock in defence won loads of headers, nothing got past Bartlett. Also had a fantastic scoring record, we stuck him upfront at the end of games we were struggling in and he average a goal every 7 minutes which makes you wonder why we never just stuck him up front to start with. Also a thoroughly nice bloke as well....

Legend Rating: As Sir Alex would say - "Trees Legend, make no mistake about that"

Daniel Worby

Reserves / First Team 02/03 - 06/07

Worby is another long-standing Player, who has been around longer than you probably think. Appeared in the original Reserve Team in 02/03 and took over as Manager a few games into the season where he guided the team to promotion (although that season anything over 8th got you promotion). Decided to stick to playing and established himself as a regular when a lot of his mates drifted away. A good lad with a good sense of humour (well he did make Bally captain).

First Team 06/07

Adverts in the Paper are not the most productive ways of getting new players (remember the guy who was about 42 and trained in his work shirt?). But Gareth is a prime example of why you should persevere with this way of recruiting. He slotted in straight away, had a great attitude and was also great socially. Was aslo a quality performer on the pitch winning an individual award in his one and only season, sadly moved away from the area, but will be remembered as a top bloke.

Was a real asset in the 03/04 season before dissappearing off the face of the earth for a few seasons. Re-emerged in 2005 for the Sunday Team where he was still useful but left again soon after the 07/08 season with the reserves.

Reserves & Sunday Team 03/04 - 06/07

Big old centre forward who looked too big & unorthadox to be any good, but was a decent player. Had a good goal record for the Ressies after joining the Club and was on the borderline of being a 1st teamer. Dissappeared for a few seasons before playing in the 'old boys' Sunday Side of 06/07 and despite being even bigger and immobile somehow still managed to regularly find the net. Suffered a cruciate injury which ended his career.
