First Team 01/02

Tough tackling defender who would be welcomed back anytime. Restricted appearances, due to having 346 kids. Not afraid to put the boot in (mainly through lack of pace) – worth bringing back just to see him in a 50-50 with Wayne.

Scored nearly 30 goals in 21 games in our Championship season 01-02. Lightening quick with great dribbling skills. Big factor in our 1st season’s success. Now plays for OU Res and even at 31 Years Old is quicker than we were at 17.

Bucks Div 1 and folded after 2 seasons..Now plays in goal for Stanton Manor on Sundays......no, hang on that's someone else isn't it

Fellow founder of the Trees with Gravsey. 3 game stint. Quit after 3 games after couldn't agree on Team Formation. He didn't rate Wigsey. The same Wigsey who holds the Appearance Record for the Club (probably).

Hungarian refugee lookalike who appeared in goal for 1st team in our First Season and done ok but Pavel disappeared after Aaron’s management disaster.  Tall keeper, who also couldn’t kick the ball. Smoked loads and never spoke.

Only ever kicked the ball with his outside of his right foot. Always looked shit hot in training but didn’t cut the mustard in matches, but he did introduce Shandy to the Trees. Left shortly after smashing the ball in Gravesy’s face in training.Moved onto Roade Reserves.

Another Keeper who couldn’t kick the ball. Great shot stopper. Made some big saves in our Championship battle against Castlethorpe in the last game of the season 01-02. Was everyone’s favourite keeper of 01-02. Still watches the Cobblers (no – it’s true).

Quality winger who didn’t believe in defending. Went from crowd favourite scoring the goal that won us the League to Judas from hell, with his move to Castlethorpe, ironically the team he got the goal against. Dived all over the place against us and scored the winner in a crunch match against the Trees as he was a major factor is us missing out on the Double. Scored 20 goals from midfield, in just 20 games in his time with the Trees.

Was kind of part of the 01-02 Champ squad. Brief stint as Ressy mgr, ended within 4 games. Left to manage the mighty Lavendon Reserves & touting for our players, famously said “the problem with those Trees players, they always want to win”.

Club & Pub favourite. Was First Team / Reserve / Sunday striker with an unorthadox style, broke Pub Windows with shots and Keepers legs (caused 2 to be stretchered off in one game once) but always had a good goal tally. Also Woody done more than anybody to gain sponsorship from the Pub by drinking 12 pints without fail, sometimes before matches. No-one gets more wrecked than Woody. Retired after a serious injury. We also wheel him out for Stag Do’s though for the entertainment value. Just phone the 3trees if you need him. Can occasionally be seen on the sidelines on a Sunday catching the First Half before the pub opens.

4ft  tall keeper. Total journeyman of MK football. I swear one Sunday Season he was in goal for every team we played against.  “Whose the daddy” still rings in my ears even though he left last season. Always took his kids to Training / Matches where they would run around behind the goal causing havoc. Always seemed to have one more kid every time we saw him.

Former Woughton Res Manager who led the team to the Double including a win over Trees in the Div Cup Final, played for the First Team where we would go around kicking people until they lost interest. Took over the helm after Gravsey’s regime the following season, but proved to be the 1st season the team didn’t better the previous season, finishing in the same position as the previous campaign, despite bringing in a large number of new players at the expense of established BTFC players. Club was badly affected when virtually all of the players he brought along left with him as he moved onto Mursley Utd after 1 season as Manager.

The ‘White Vieira’. One of the Woughton boys who was increasingly found on the bench in his first season which led to him leaving for Woughton only to be persuaded back by Kit after a few beers and left again when sobered up..Highlights are asking to be subbed he was so bad after a night on the Viagra and nearly starting a riot at Deanshanger when 2 mins after coming on decided to stamp on someone. Top draw forward. Made a few cameo appearances with us in our 3rd Season, despite being 8 stone overweight and on 50 cans of beer a day still looked a class apart at times. Did tuck us up in the Div Final against Woughton, when shortly after coming on he inadvertently put through their forward to kill us off.

Reasonable player, energetic with shooting that went off the radar, left as he moved up North to Geordieland. Went from the Trees First Team bench to playing in the F.A. Cup 1st Round with Non-League Blyth Spartans, playing with former Premiership players. No, we couldn’t believe it either. Good lad though and recently spotted by Chunda in a Club in Newcastle still on the beers.

A Director at Gravseys firm. If he was as good as he said he was he would be playing in the Champions League, in the real world made the bench for the first team. Didn’t break in the team and Gravsey just kept his employment. Now Coaching at Aylesbury Utd and probably persuading them he should be in their starting line up.

One of the Woughton boys who came along, spent most of the 1st season with us injured, was a regular in the team the following season when Kit took over as he was Kit’s mate. Likeable lad if you ignore the fact he is a Copper. Followed Kit to Mursley Utd.

Came along with Deano / Dave B in our 2nd season and immediately shattered all our Goalscoring Records. Prolific forward, bagged 45 goals in 52 games, unfortunatly 44 of them before Xmas and 1 afterwards as our season collapsed. Loads of injuries the following season but still bagged in the Cup Final as sub. Possessed real pace despite being 49 years old, hair was still 30 years out of date though.

With us for our first 3 seasons. Always got annoyed when we described him as having a “Great Engine” as it made him sound like all he could do is run all day. Always won the £100 Scratchcard at the End of the Season and never got a round in with the winnings. Regular scorer and popular player. Great Engine.

Bally has earned legendary status with the Trees. although mostly for the wrong reasons. Was the Ressies self proclaimed 'playmaker' somehow managing to keep that status for 2 seasons before being axed. Briefly appeared for the Sunday Team, mostly with the flag in his hand. Still gets loads of stick despite leaving the Club ages ago, voted by many as the Worst Ever Player to play for the Trees with newcomers to the Club wondering who the hell he is and what did he do to deserve such status. Despite this most of the banter is tongue in cheek and he is actually a nice guy who has taken the banter well.

When Babysitting his younger brother clashed with Trees Reserve Team Matches Ressies Manager Daniel Worby brought young Aiden along with him, killing 2 birds with 1 stone, giving him a place in the starting XI so he could keep an eye on him. A tear comes to my eye when writing this, one of the original Trees playes and undoubtedly technically one of the best, and I would go as far as to say the best we have had. He can come across as lazy, lethargic, whinges a lot and capable of giving more than he does but on his day is unstoppable. Can beat several players with ease, score from literally anywhere (he scored from the halfway line against on of the best Sunday Sides in MK

If he was as good at Football as he was pumping iron he would have been a Trees legend, sadly he was not. Could run around a lot and budge people off the ball, but never seemed to pass.... ever. In fact acquired the nickname "Trojan" (thou shall not pass). Left when he wasn;t getting 90 mins every week for the Sunday team. Great on a night out though as he would never drink and be good for a lift up to the Ocean. Also wore funny beads a lot which I could never quite understand.

A likeable lad and a more than useful defender, a rare example of a centre back with real pace and who doesn't look a complete donkey on the ball. Started in the Reserves, but soon made his way to the 1st team where he proceeded to get injured every other game. Even had a dugout fall on him which would have been funny had it not been so serious..... actually come to think of it yeah it was still a little bit funny. Was also the Groundsman at Woughton when we played there so ensured we had the best pitch in MK (with stripes on it)

Long standing Trees Defender who played until he was too slow and fat to run.....actually he was that way when he joined in 2002 wasn't he? Yes he was a big unit, but what a player - a rock in defence won loads of headers, nothing got past Bartlett. Also had a fantastic scoring record, we stuck him upfront at the end of games we were struggling in and he average a goal every 7 minutes which makes you wonder why we never just stuck him up front to start with. Also a thoroughly nice bloke as well....
