On the
same day Dave Harrold became "trigger" (much
to deanos delight) Bletchley Trees Res won 2 games
on the bounce for the first time in Cloggsies reign.
Trees began slowly....again and were somehow 1 down
with around 2 mins on the clock, but this was the
catalist for a good 1st half where chances were in
abundance but our killer instinct was more like that
of a mongrel puppy. However we did take 2 in a 1st
half we completely dominated, the first was from a
poor backpass that ben nichols reacted to first and
poke home a neat finish. The second came from a quick
free kick midway into the wicken half as tindell knocked
it into ben who in turn found jay on the edge of the
box, jay hammered the ball low into the corner past
a despairing dive from the wicken keeper.
The 2nd half was a bit more even but the Trees still
refused to put the game beyond doubt as golden chances
went begging main culprets being jay, trigger, rusty
and ben all missing when it seemed they couldn't.
Eventually the third came although trigger did need
2 attempts at it. wicken then changed formation a
put another man up front and put some pressure on
the trees back line. Their determination payed off
when late on a ball from the right found their little
striker in space to nod home and make the last 5 a
little bit more uncomfortable than they should have
been.
comment of the day came from young mikey speaking
after dave harrold had fallen over a big bucket backwards-
"when I see dave, I see 2 dissapointed parents"
GAFFA SAYS
good win away from home could of and should of been
a lot more. we have now conceeded 4 goals in the last
15 mins of games. must concentrate harder and be more
ruthless in front of goal
