PB Wolverton Town Res
Scorers - Walsh, Jay, Trigger

Trees res faces possibly their toughest test of the season thus far. PB Wolverton Town Res were the visitors to Stade De Rickley. PB had previously lost to Poterspury res a side we should have beaten easily so the attmosphere in the changing room was upbeat and enthusiastic, everyone felt that we could turnover a side had hammered us in pre season and were undoubtedly one of the title favorites.

Trees started well for a change and should have been 3 up within 10 mins with Jay and Rusty missing guilt edged chances. Walshy eventually made our dominance count with a free kick floated in to the far post that PB's keeper got caught underneath and the ball nestled in the top corner.

This should have been the signal for us to get more and we came close with a couple of efforts only for a long ball down the middle to catch out Dave and Sean which their quick forward latched onto and finished well. PB scored again as Trees were in a bit of dissary for 10 mins at the back.

JAy equalised with 5 mins of the first half left eith a neat stike across the keeper into the far post from the edge of the box.Cloggsies half time teamtalk focused on us getting closer and dealing better with the long ball that PB were playing. 10 mins into the half trees found themselves 4-2 down from not getting close to their midfield and not dealing with the long ball well enough.

Cloggs made a few changes and we started to get back on top with some good chances that should hasve been finished from Rusty and Trigger in particular. With 10 left the ball popped around the PB box and fell to Trigger who belted the ball home from 18 yards with his right peg. Looked like if we were going to get anything from this game it'd be done the hard way. alas it wasn't to be as luck desserted us again when PB cleared off the line.

Another game we should have won only for poor finishing to let us down. But soon luck will be on our side and someone will get hammered by a completely rejuvinated reserve side that will be pushing for the title if this game and the previous one are anything to go by.

GAFFA SAYS If we keep playing like this we will be in the shake up at the end of the season. MUST be more ruthless in front of goal. all in all though a good performance again that we deserved more from. MOM- Walshy
